Resources: Resources for opioid and stimulant use prevention, treatment, and recovery include tools, programs, organizations, and materials designed to support individuals, families, and communities in addressing substance use disorders (SUDs). Examples may include fact sheets, tool kits, and connection with local resources that address prevention, treatment, and/or recovery from opioid and stimulant use disorder.
Training: Training on opioid and stimulant use prevention, treatment, and recovery may include educational presentations and training that equips individuals and communities with the knowledge and tools to reduce the risk of opioid and stimulant use, provide healthcare professionals and support workers with the skills to diagnose and treat opioid and stimulant use disorders, and support individuals in long-term recovery by training professionals and communities to provide recovery-oriented care.
Technical Assistance: Technical assistance includes providing support and guidance to an organization or community to help them apply techniques to address opioid and stimulant use prevention, treatment, and recovery. Examples may include supporting healthcare providers as they implement evidence-based practices such as medications for substance use disorder in their rural clinic or helping an organization understand local data related to substance use in their community and how to apply it to their planning and implementation strategies.
